We’re shining the spotlight on Anna this week for an incredible run of results at both Aintree and the Home Nations!
At Aintree, Anna and the fabulous Villie tackled a huge venue (22K steps, anyone?) and a unique outdoor warm-up – right in the middle of the racecourse! Despite challenging conditions, Villie rose to the occasion. Anna rode a stunning test that scored a huge 78.2% to take 1st place out of 19, with 4x 9s and even a WOW from the judge .
The indoor arena brought new challenges – busy and noisy – but Villie stayed focused. A small blip in the canter dropped a few marks, but they still pulled in a strong 70.4%, narrowly missing the win. Anna also rode a fantastic test on The Ginger Ninja, finishing 5th out of 39. Not a bad day at the office!

Villie also scored a perfect body score in the Spillers health check (weighing in at 603kg… and cheekily helping himself to the samples! ).
It was his first long trip and overnight stay, and he coped like a total pro – cool, calm, and collected throughout. (Only downside? They just missed the mounted prize giving due to a last-minute time change – lesson learned!)
Then came the Home Nations, where Anna proudly represented the South West Team. Team Donald took the win, and her team, Quackers, placed a very respectable 12th out of 32.
Special shoutout to Cara, who overcame a weather-delayed start (think thunder, lightning, and arena puddles!) to absolutely nail her Day Two test – 4th place individually in the Elementary over both days, despite hating wet feet!
Huge thanks to Hilary for being the dream team driver/chef/photographer, and to Bev for all the behind-the-scenes support and score monitoring.
An amazing month full of dedication, determination, and brilliant horsemanship – well done, Anna!
